We are delighted to announce that from next summer Jon Gemmell, currently working as Director of Conferences and Resources at the Proclamation Trust in London, will join our team here as Co-director of Training alongside Edward Lobb.
Jon was one of the very first cohort of students at CTC Scotland back in 2006/7. He went on to be an assistant pastor at Plains Evangelical Church, and then senior pastor at Bruntsfield Evangelical Church in Edinburgh for 7 years, during which time he was also Director of Edinburgh City Mission and chairman of the East of Scotland Gospel Partnership. But we are delighted that after a very fruitful time at PT he is moving back to Scotland to take up this role for the start of the academic year in September.
We very much look forward to Jon arriving. He is a great Bible teacher, and also brings with him a wealth of experience and connections which will be an immense help to us in strengthening our ministry of equipping and training future generations of bible teachers for the Church. Do pray for Jon, Aileen and baby Isaac as they complete their time in London and plan for this move.
Adding an additional member of staff will place a significant burden on the Cornhill budget. However, the trustees are very sure that the strengthening of our team is a vital step as we manage a growing ministry and look to preserve the exceptional quality of training for which CTC has become known. So, perhaps I can ask whether you would partner with us by making a financial contribution to Cornhill by setting up regular giving, or making a one-off gift at this time? The need is real, and the cause is vital!
